Kenny and Messina released their first album in 1972 titled Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina Sittin’. One of the songs on the album, Vahevala, was a hit.
The duo continued to release singles and albums together, producing five more albums over the space of 4 years. They released The Best of Friends in 1976, featuring My Music, Danny’s Song, Vahevala, and Angry Eyes. Kenny and Jim sold over 16 million records.
